This study examines the ethical debate on the use of Artificial Intelligence in Education based on a literature review in the Brazilian Computer Society’s digital library from 2020 to 2025. The analysis concludes that this discussion is still in its infancy and reveals regulatory gaps and silences on critical issues such as algorithmic violence, digital illiteracy and the role of the private sector, while most studies address the topic in general terms. The few studies that focus on ethics deepen the debate and point to avenues such as algorithmic justice, media literacy and the need for institutional action. Therefore, this study highlights the urgent need for a structured integration of the ethical dimension into pedagogical practices and technology development, which is a call for the field of computer science in Education to take an active role in building a more equitable and dialogic Artificial Intelligence.
